i whipped up some lemon cordial last night, its so simple. one part sugar is added to one part water in a pot, stirred over heat until the sugar dissolves, then cooled. you then squeeze the lemons. i created half, half...so the sugar syrup ended up being 2 cups & therefore i added 2 cups of lemon juice. i strained the lemons through some cheesecloth into a bottle & then added the syrup....easy. it is so zingy & refreshing. i would love to have it as a fizzy drink & so have been thinking about getting one of those sodastream's...i haven't seen one since i was about 12 but i'll go on the hunt. this way i could eliminate a lot of softdrink packaging that we seem to accumlate. so it has an environmental benefit also. plus it isn't full of all those nasty chemicals that go into a lot of soft drinks.
